I started car cleaning way back in 1980 in my local village, My Mother's boss Sir Jack Hayward asked me to clean the cars on his private estate and promised that if I worked every weekend he would send me on an apprenticeship when I left school.

He kept his promise and sent me to Aston Martin, Bentley and Rolls Royce for car preparation training on new and secondhand cars, I returned and was allowed to work on his classic cars. I continued my apprenticeship at Modena in Plummers Plain near Horsham and worked on Ferrari used cars, cars like the lovely 308's, 365BB, 512BB and 400i's.

I met a local resident and worked on his personal cars, Mr John Norman was the CEO of Suzuki GB based at Manor Royal in Crawley so I was able to work on vehicles prepared for shows and events. I went to work at the NEC and Earls Court Motor Shows and became involved in classic car valeting.

I have continued training and working in the industry, trained as a valeter and detailer, preparing cars to concours standards.
